This is a vintage original silkscreen psychedelic blacklight poster of Indian sitar virtuoso Ravi Shankar. This poster has a 1969 copyright by Poster Prints of Conshohocken, Pennsylvania printed in the lower left hand corner. This poster would have been issued around the time of Shankar’s peak popularity in the United States, shortly after his collaboration with The Beatles and the same year as his performance at Woodstock.
This vintage original poster shows moderate handling wear including some bumped areas along the edges, a few scuffs in the image area and a three inch tear without paper loss at the top edge. The poster has a single pinhole on each corner and there is a faint trace of staining show along the left edge on the back of the poster which doesn’t show on the front side. Overall condition is very good for this vintage original.
