This is a vintage original 1950 trolly car style horizontal format poster issued by the United States Treasury to help promote the sale of U.S. Savings Bonds. This poster features an image two civilians and two people in military uniforms all smiling broadly and holding $25 U.S Savings Bonds with text bracketing the image that reads: Buy U.S. Savings Bonds – Help Defend Your Country Protect Your Personal Future.
The lower margin indicates a 1950 GPO publication date and features The Advertising Council logo. This poster is printed one side only on lightweight cardboard in the format most commonly used for overhead advertising on streetcars, buses and passenger trains.
This poster shows slight toning for age and light handling wear including a couple short quarter inch tears on the bottom edge. The colors are strong and overall condition is very good for this rare vintage original.
