This vintage original poster was issued by the Union Pacific Railroad in the mid 1930s to help promote Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah as a travel destination. The poster also mentions the Grand Canyon and Zion National Parks which could be seen together with Bryce Canyon as part of a low cost circle trip arranged through the railroad’s ticket agents. Bryce Canyon was named after Mormon pioneer Ebenezer Bryce who homesteaded in the area in the 1870s. This poster features the image of a group of park visitors on horseback traversing the rugged landscape characterized by the distinctive Hoodoo geological formations and natural arches all set against a brilliant blue sky with occasional wispy clouds.

This vintage original poster has been professionally linen backed. A short tear of a few inches without loss of paper has been repaired at the top center and the poster is otherwise in excellent condition.
