This vintage original and rare poster was issued by the United States Treasury in 1946. The poster’s artwork was created by George Englert and features an image of an idealized Atomic Age American family, their heads raised as if gazing at a higher power. Behind them a giant hand of Uncle Sam lifts an American flag against a backdrop that looks like an American Southwest desert landscape. The image is bracketed by text that reads Back Your Future – With U.S. Savings Bonds. The artist’s name appears in print in the lower left hand corner of the image.
This poster was issued folded and has two lateral fold lines as a result. This vintage original poster is in near mint condition with just slight handling wear and modest toning from age. Overall condition is excellent. This is a rare poster as we only trace one example at auction.
