This is a vintage original poster was created by the artist Clarence F. Underwood for the YMCA and the United War Work Campaign during WWI. The United War Work Campaign was organized by several non-governmental organizations to raise money for programs supporting American soldiers during WWI. The YMCA along with the American Library Association, the Jewish Welfare Board and other charitable organizations helped to organize and promote the 1918 UWW campaign. For this poster Underwood depicts an image of a woman in uniform operating a telephone switchboard as an army marching past can be seen through a window behind her.

This original antique WWI poster has been professionally linen backed with expert repair to a couple short tears and mitigation to some lateral crease lines. The colors remain strong and the poster displays very well. Overall condition is very good.
