This vintage original poster was created by the artist Henry Rawleigh and issued during WWI to help promote the sale of Liberty Bonds on the American home front. For this poster Rawleigh renders an image of a hulking shadowy German soldier figure in Picklehaube style helmet lurking ominously behind a young mother clinging to her baby. Text on the poster, HUN or HOME? Buy More Liberty Bonds, presents the viewer with a choice to either buy more liberty bonds or to allow the faceless sinister hun to advance and threaten America.

This poster has no tape or pinholes and shows only light handling wear including a short half inch tear in the left margin stablished with a small piece of acid free archival tissue applied on verso. Overall condition is very good for this vintage WWI era original.
