This vintage original WWII poster was issued by the Office of War Information as OWI Poster No. 22 in 1942. This poster is one of several issued in the United States during WWII which sought to recruit nurses. The shortage of nurses became so acute during WWII that Congress acted to establish the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps which eventually graduated more than 124,000 student nurses.
This vintage original poster is folded as issued and shows only slight handling wear and pinholes on each corner. The colors are strong and overall condition is very good.
