This vintage original WWII poster was issued by the United States War Production Board in 1942 to help promote scrap drives and the conservation of scare metal needed for the war effort. The poster itemizes four basic points including taking care to prolong the life of equipment, using salvaged materials for repairs, find replacements for metals and making scrap metals available for scrap drives.

This vintage original WWII poster has a VFW ink hand stamp in the lower right hand corner and shows moderate handling wear. The poster has about an inch and a half of separate at the center fold line intersection and another two inch separation along the vertical fold line at the bottom center but in both instances without loss of paper. The poster has no tape or pinholes and overall condition is very good.
