This vintage original WWII poster was created by the artist Steve Broder and issued in 1942 to help promote scrap drives on the home front. A German airplane crashes toward earth in a fiery death spiral under the title YOUR SCRAP…brought it down KEEP SCRAPING.

Community-minded patriotic Americans got behind the WWII scrap drives in a big way and recovered millions of pounds of scrap which was converted to essential war materiel. Scrap drives had the added benefit of buoying moral on the home front and giving everyday Americans a tangible way to get directly involved in supporting the war effort.

This vintage original poster is folded as issued and shows only slight handling wear and a single pinhole on each corner. The colors are strong and overall condition is excellent.
