This vintage original and rare WWII poster was created by Nebraska born artist John Falter and issued by the U.S. Navy in 1943 to help recruit construction workers for service in the Seabees. Falter renders an image from the Pacific Theater of Seabees firing a M1 carbine and Thompson submachinegun from behind sandbags with a crane and bulldozer visible in the background with text that reads:

Construction Workers 17 to 50 – Build And Fight In The Navy Seabees – Join by voluntary induction or voluntary enlistment – Apply To Your Nearest Navy Recruiting Station – You may also volunteer for service with the Army Engineers. See your nearest Army Recruiting Station.

This poster features the Seabees insignia and John Falter USNR is signed in printed in the lower right hand corner of the image area. The date 6 July 1943 is printed in the lower margin.  This vintage original poster has no tape or pinholes and looks unused with just light handling wear including slightly bumped edges and a bit of creasing around the lower corners. Overall condition is very good.
