This vintage original and rare horizontal format poster was issued by the United States Treasury in 1943 to help war bond buying through employee payroll savings programs. The poster seems to draw inspiration from James Montgomery Flagg’s iconic I Want Your For The US Army poster but features just the hand of Uncle Sam pointing directly at the viewer with text that reads:

Figure it out yourself – Boost Your Bond-Buying Thru Payroll Savings

The lower margin indicates “An Official Treasury Poster” and the date 1943. This vintage original poster has a small nick off the tip of the upper right corner which is confirmed to the margin and doesn’t affect text or illustrations. The poster has no tape or pinholes and is folded as issued with only light handling wear. The colors are strong and overall condition is very good.
