This is a vintage original WWII era trolly car style horizontal format poster issued to help promote the sale war bonds as Christmas gifts. The poster isn’t signed by the artist but looks very similar to war bond Christmas posters created by the artist Dan Snider. This poster features the image of a Christmas tree and a farmstead covered by blanket of snow with text that reads:
GIVE WAR BONDS For Christmas – The Present with a FUTURE
The lower margin has a 1943 date and indicates “An Official War Message Distributed By The Office Of War Information”. This poster is printed one side only on lightweight cardboard in the horizontal format mostly used for overhead advertising on street cars, buses and trains.
This vintage original poster has a few small spots and what looks like some foxing in places. The lower lefthand corner has a small crease and there is a small nick off the lower righthand corner. Overall condition is otherwise very good.
