This vintage original WWII poster was issued by the Office of War Information in 1943 as OWI Poster No. 30. The poster was issued to create publicity for nutrition classes that helped homemakers plan family meals with the “new wartime foods”. The demands of world war had a big impact on the nation’s food supply and forced homemakers to find alternatives as once familiar foods that became scarce.

This vintage original poster has moderate handling wear, a small quarter inch notch off the edge near the lower left hand corner and couple short one inch tears on the edges without loss. The poster has a light bit of ghosting to the print at the top and a bit of toning from age. Overall condition is very good. This poster is folded as issued and will ship that way.
