This rare vintage original poster was issued during WWII to help recruit skilled workers for the U.S. Navy Ship Repair Units. The poster features images two men working to repair a ship under text that reads Enlist Your Skill For Victory.

During WWII ship repair was vital to keep the fleet in fighting condition. Essential repairs were sometimes undertaken by repair ships operating in forward areas allowing damaged warships to limp back ports for more extensive repairs. The lower margin suggests that workers 18 to 38 should ask about the new plan for Voluntary Induction into these US Navy Ship Repair Units. The Puget Sound Navy Yard at Bremerton in Washington State functioned as the primary facility for repairing battle damage to ships of the U.S. fleet and allied fleets.

The lower margin indicates this poster was issued in 1943. This vintage original poster was probably never used and has no tape or pinholes and just light handling wear including edges slightly bumped with slight creasing in spots. There is a half inch tear without paper loss on the top edge and another on the right edge.  Overall condition is very good. This is a rare poster as a Worldcat search only locates two copies.
