This vintage original WWII poster was created by Mexican American artist Leon Helguera and issued 1944. This poster features a patriotic Uncle Sam figure dressed in his trademark red, white and blue top hat pointing at a chart that illustrates the fairly minimal increase in cost of living during WWII as compared to WWI. Text at the bottom of the poster reads “Keep up the good work – Keep down living costs”. A small vignette of an American housewife raising her hand as if to take a solemn oath appears at the bottom of the poster next to text that reads “Pay No More Than Ceiling Prices”.

This vintage original poster has no tape or pinholes and looks unused. The poster is folded as issued and shows light handling wear including a quarter inch tear on the left edge and just minimal toning from age and otherwise looks unused. The colors are vibrant and overall condition is excellent.
