This vintage original WWII poster was created by the prolific poster artist Adolph Triedler and issued in 1945 to help promote the sale of war bonds in the United States. The image of a wounded soldier with bandaged hand and leg siting under the title CARE is costly communicates to viewers that buying war bonds helps those wounded in service. Treidler produced posters in both the First and Second World Wars and for numerous commercial clients including the Furness Bermuda Line shipping company, Irish Airlines, Pan American Airways, Wells Fargo and others.

This vintage original poster was issued folded and shows light handling wear including two short half inch tears without paper loss on the lower edge and a small area of creasing on the tip of the lower left hand corner.   The poster shows slight toning from age and colors remain strong.  Overall condition is very good.
