This is a vintage original silkscreen poster created by the Works Progress Administration (WPA) in Connecticut to enroll volunteers in the U.S. Army Air Corps Aircraft Warning Service. The AWS was a civilian service within the Army Air Corps Ground Observer Corps which was organized in May 1941 before the United States entered WWII. The bottom of the poster is printed “Conn. Defense Council” and “A Conn. WPA Poster”. This unrestored poster has some light scuffing places. The tip of the upper left hand corner is bit creased and the upper right hand corner is a bit bumped both of which are confined to margin not affecting the image. Overall condition is very good for this vintage original.
