This vintage WWI era original is one of the most well-known posters produced for the Fourth Liberty Loan campaign. The artwork by Howard Chandler Christy features a beautiful young woman set against a billowing American flag as if a symbol of America itself. Below her a muscular crew of US Navy sailors battles seemingly to save her very life against an unseen enemy.

This poster is professionally linen backed with basic restoration as needed including repair to a couple short tears on the edges and a tear of a few inches at the bottom center, all without paper loss. The poster displays beautifully and overall condition is very good.
